For the Venetian Carnival 2012: free guided visits (in Italian and English) of the exhibition The Avant-garde. From Pollock to Picasso are offered to the public. Daily at 3:30 pm guided tour of the Gianni Mattioli Collection and at 4:30 pm guided tour of the collection of Peggy Guggenheim.

WORK IN PROGRESS
From January 11 to February 19, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection is carrying out an extensive renovation of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni and its garden, involving above all the installation of new climate control and gallery lighting. During this time, masterpieces from the permanent collection will be on view in the rooms usually dedicated to temporary exhibitions with a special installation The Avant-garde. From Picasso to Pollock. Tickets will be 8 euro, and 5 euro for discounted entry. The museum is open as usual (daily 10 am-6 pm, closed Tuesdays) and will be fully closed for only two days: Monday January 9, and Monday February 20.
KIDS DAY
Kids Day is an educational program designed to introduce children between 4 and 10 years of age to modern and contemporary art and to make their visit to the museum more comprehensible. Kids Day occurs every SUNDAY from 3.00 to 4.30 pm at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. For information: 041 2405 401/444
From January 9 to February 21, for the duration of restoration work at the museum, Kids Day activities are suspended. Workshops recommence as usual on Sunday, February 26.
